ZOOM  Bible Study Begins THIS Week, Wednesday, May 27th at 7:00PM! Join Pastor Jeff and others for a five week bible study series “Unsung Heroes of the Bible“.  We will look at some of the people in the Bible who seem to be, well, a little more like you and me.  We will meet on ZOOM Wednesdays from 7:00 – 8:00 pm starting May 27th.  Look for link and login information in the weekly yellow email. No previous bible study experience is required. If you have questions, please let Pastor know  (pastor@zionlutheranct.org.)
Please read the book of Ruth for May 27th.
Let us know if you need a bible.

2020 College Graduates, we would like to celebrate you! If you are a graduate or you have one in your family, please send to us the graduate’s name, college and the degree/major earned so that all of us at Zion can recognize your accomplishments. You can reply to this message OR email the church office at office@zionlutheranct.org.
Please send us pictures of  what you and your family are doing during this “stay at home’ time!  We’ve been apart so long and we would all like to ‘SEE’ each other!  Pastor would like to see and get to know you too!  We will put together a montage of the pictures submitted and will post them at the end of the weekly videos.  You can include pictures of what you are doing (and feeling) during these weeks…Are you working on a project? hobby? binge watching your favorite show?  Pictures can be from inside your home, outside playing, weeding the church grounds, helping a neighbor, etc. You can even send in videos!
Please email pictures/videos to pastor@zionlutheranct.org.  We can’t wait to SEE YOU!!!
Stay Fit and Help Calumet too!  Here is a way to take care of yourself this summer and to support Calumet. If we are able to walk in groups by July 3rd, we could have some group walks that meet at Zion or other spots around town. Please let Pastor Jeff know (pastor@zionlutheanct.org) if you have signed up and are interested in group walks.  Click HERE to sign up. Click video link below for more info.

Thank you to everyone who has signed up for ‘Online Giving’ through our website or has been mailing in their offering!  Giving online can be set up as a one-time gift, ongoing weekly, or monthly giving,  and it can be changed at any time. It’s easy to set up and if you need help, call the office and we will assist you. Click Here for the link:

or if you choose not to do online giving, please continue to mail your gifts to Zion at 531 Woodruff Street, Southington, CT 06468. Thanks for remembering whether people are coming into the church or not, we are still doing ministry in new and different ways.

UPDATE: Thank you to those who dropped off Audio Books!  We have a nice assortment if anyone is interested in borrowing one.  If you would like to borrow one OR if you have something that you can share (audio books/ CD or tape players) with an older more isolated member, please respond to this email or call Christine in the church office (860-628-5759) THANK YOU
Southington Community Services is requesting the following:
juice boxes, children’s snacks, mac & cheese CUPS, canned vegetables, canned tuna/chicken, canned soups, canned fruit, ramen noodles, cereal and personal hygiene items (shampoo, toothpaste, etc.) Please DO NOT make a special trip to the grocery store, but if you are there and can pick up a few items for the food pantry, it would be appreciated.  *Items can be dropped off in the Blue Recycling Bin by the front doors Monday – Thursday and we will bring them into the church and deliver them to Community Services weekly.
*Please do not come into the church to drop off donations as we must adhere to the Governor’s order to keep our doors closed. THANK YOU!
