A NIGHT OF HOPE AND INSPIRATION
Saturday, November 7 FROM 5:30—9:00 p.m. at Zion
Come and enjoy a night of inspiration, laughter, music and friends. We are asking all who attend to bring a non-perishable food item that will be donated to Southington Social Services. Watch for the upcoming flyer for more details. We are looking for 8-10 volunteers ages 13 and up to help on the evening of November 7. It will be a great night of fun and new friendships. Once again this year you are invited to participate in providing Christmas Care Packages for inmates at Webster Correctional Institution in Cheshire. Items include:
Soap-bath size
Toothbrush-adult size
Tooth paste-large 6.2 oz
Deodorant-no glass or women’s
Hard Candies-individually wrapped
Instant Hot Chocolate –individual packages
Bring items and leave in box marked Prison Christmas Gifts by December 6, 2009.

Annual Community Soup Night
Bread For Life is sponsoring their Annual Community Soup Night on Wednesday, October 28. This year the location will be Southington High School Cafeteria. Soup will be served from 4:30 to 7 pm. All proceeds benefit Bread for Life’s Mission of feeding the hungry.
Tickets are $6/person or $20/family. Plus a canned food item.
Soups, breads, desserts, and beverages are provided by local restaurants.

Operation Christmas Child
Now is the time to bring in all wrapped shoe boxes that you have packed for our Operation Christmas Child mission for 2009. Please place them on the table at the elevator in the Gathering place by October 25th. We will be taking all boxes in November to be sent for shipment and then distribution to children in countries all over the world. If you are unable to have your shoe box there by that date, please contact me at (860) 620-9070. I want to thank all who have contributed to this mission this year-you are all truly a blessing!
