We Did It!!!
We Starved for Food
Thanks to the prayerful and financial support of our congregation, we completed our 30 Hour Famine! It wasn’t easy…but we had a fantastic time.
Notice the amazing wishing well display in the sanctuary created to illustrate that one child under the age of 5 dies every three seconds. One drop of water will fall every three seconds to remember that child’s death. There are around 26,000 children dying today because of hunger, poverty and disease. Donations can still be made for world hunger.
Best of all, we raised over $900, which can help feed and care for 2 children for an entire year! That’s a pretty incredible accomplishment. Thank you for your contributions! Special thanks to the chaperones and students who collected donations and participated in this year’s famine for those in need.

On March 26 at 7 p.m. we’ll have a discussion of “Grace” by Richard Paul Evans. We will consider questions like: “I just don’t think God wants us to do good things because we’re scared. I think he wants us to do good things because we’re good.” What does Grace mean by this remark?

Pew Committee Needs Your Help
March 22, 2009
Save the date: Sat March 28
It is time to get started on fixing the pews. Weather permitting, we will start on Sat March 21 between 9 and 10 a.m. repairing the pews. We will need all the help we can get. It is not hard work and once we get started it will move along quickly. Some of the tools we will need are staple guns, radial saws, saw horses, box cutters, screw drivers, screw guns. I know we have many talented members who can make short work of this task. We anticipate it taking two Saturdays, 3 at the most. This is a great way to help the church and enjoy great fellowship with other members. Please give me or the church office a call with any tools and time you can provide, Kim Ponticelli 860-384-4256.
